Default Mag wheel nuts needed......>>

My son has a 95 mondeo and recently purchsed a set of second hand factory alloy wheels from a 99 model (4 spoke design). The seller didn't have the wheel nuts and the nuts from the steel wheels definately don't fit. Any tips on where I can get a set?

Just go to any local tyre and wheel place, they will have them.

Helps if you know the diameter & TPI, but if not just take the car and they will sort it out.

Tried 4 different places. All of them said the nuts were only available from Ford. I was just wondering if there was any other option before I go and see what Ford want for them.

If the nuts are anything like the ones for a Cougar (4x108) and it sounds like it might be, then you will have a hard time finding them at any wheel places because apparently the thread used on the studs is different to almost anything around here!

Don't go to Ford though because when I checked a few years back a genuine nut was $65 for ONE!

You might want to try an overseas Ford parts shop? I can't recommend any but there must be some out there.

Thanks for that. The Mondeo is 4x108 so maybe the same as a Cougar. Sounds like UK ebay or maybe a UK based mondeo forum might be the go.

The LR focus is 4x108, as is the Fiesta.

Maybe try hitting up the XR4 forums?

I'll have a look at home from when I had my LR focus, I may have some laying around, but Im doubtful.
