Default new cai

i am in the process of thinking bout doin a new cold air induction as the other one i took off wasnt really doing anything, i just want to know is it ok to chop the metal underneath the airbox, or would this be classed as a structual defect. there are two oval sorta shape holes there now i was just going to cut a 3 inch circle out in between them.

The capa supercharger kits require a hole to be cut and they are engineered/legal

not all parts of the car are structural, some bits are ok to cut. Find out what your local laws say first tho

I have a hole in my guard, and have had two roadworthies with it, and had no problems.

Cosworth vents(Moffat) point backwards, its a vent not a scoop.

My intercooler piping doesnt go through there... But i have a massive ugly hole from where my k & n filter used to go through there to just behind the front spoiler.. Put it this way, if you cut it, theres no easy fix to cover it up.
