Default Ferrari California hardtop convertible revealed

Quote:
Following last Friday’s announcement, Ferrari proceeded to the release of the first official photographs of its all-new California GT model. The Italian thoroughbred that had been dubbed as the GT, California GT and Dino in spy pictures over the previous months will be offered exclusively as a 2+ seater (whatever that means) coupe-cabriolet with an electric folding hardtop.

The California is powered by a 4.3-liter V8 engine that features direct fuel injection and a “flat” crankshaft, generating 460 Hp at 7,500 rpm. The V8 which is mounted for the first time in the marque’s history in the mid-front position supplies power to the rear wheels via a seven-speed twin-clutch transmission. Ferrari says that the California sprints from 0 to 100 km/h in less than 4.0 seconds.

Under its aluminium body, the California hides a new multilink rear suspension system while it is also equipped with the marque’s F1-Trac traction control system which made its debut on the 599 GTB Fiorano along with Brembo brakes featuring carbon-ceramic material discs as standard.

Ferrari’s newest GT model will be officially unveiled to the public at the Paris International Car Show this September. However, over the coming weeks, new photographs and further details will also be published.

Awesome looking car.

I think the performance of these cars and simmilar topline cars are reaching their pinnacle as most are between 3 and 4 secs 0-100kmh whether they are the lower end models or upper 600k versions ( i mill Enzo excl). It will be interesting to see what they do with them in future.

It's a nice car.
I wonder if people would like it as much with an Australian-built car's badge on it...

But I'd still take a G6E. Sports cars that size just don't interest me as much.

Yep...I'm nuts.

Not a fan at all. IMO it it just dosn't look like a Ferrari should. Looks very girly to be honest.

I too would much rather an F430.

Looks the goods, as all Prancing Horses do.

Looks like they copied the stacked quad exhaust from the Lexus IS-F....

I like it, especially the exhaust pipes.
From the side it looks like the offspring of a Aston Martin and a Z06.

Nice car, can anyone else see an Austin Healy Mk1 Sprite mouth and the lights looks sorta Lexus convertibleish....

And the engine is infront of the dash?? Hmmm wonder how many hardcore drivers of the marque will be happy with that? Meh.. they have the money to get over it I guess...
