Lightbulb How Much Have You Spent On Your Falcon lately? :)

Just curious how much people have spent on maintaining these lil buggers.
I bought mine recently (31/3/06) for a low price as well off a guy on ebay who lost his license due to numerous drink driving offences : so maybe that's why I've had to spend heaps. My rego expired on 29/7 so here's what i've spent excluding rta motor tax, pink slip & green slip:

so maybe that's why I've had to spend heaps:

1993 Ford Falcon EB II GLi ABS Sedan, 191,065kms, ugly champagne gold colour, few minor rust spots, 3mnths rego, LPG Dedicated, Sanyo CD-RW/AM-FM, 4 pioneer speakers, with fading bonnet - $810

$680 Thomson Ford Premium Service

$1980 Midas Parramatta - Power steering pump, Rocker cover gasket, rear brake pads, rear brake discs, rear tyres, wheel allignment, 3 fan belts, pedal brake pad, brake master cylinder, radiator cap, lower radiator hose, coolant, fan resistor, full exhaust system (cheap one), brake calipers reconditioned

$70 Midas Parramatta - Indicator flusher

$520 Ebay powerseller from Victoria- 2xfront monroe struts, 2 rear monroe shocks, 4 30mm lowered king springs

$534 - EVOFORD2 Redranger nolathane suspension enhancement bushes kit

$724 Kmart Tyre & Auto suspension labor

$1500 exhaust.
$800 wheels/tyres.
$450 springs/shocks.
$2000 on a long AU engine, probably owes me about $1200 after the stuff I've sold off.
$165 on a new alternator.

1994 ED Fairmont, 220,000 km's, cost $4000 in July last year;

Came with;
- Pacemakers
- 2.5" Exhaust
- Lowered
- Camber kit
- EL GT wheels

I've done (in the last 6 months)
- AU Power steering pump (reco) ($100)
- EF 110Amp Alternator ($80)
- AU Water pump ($80)
- AU Balancer ($30)
- EF Aircon Compressor ($150)
- XH Tensioner + Belt ($220)
- 3.45 LSD ($550)
- Wade 1004 112 ($60)
- 5 Speed ($400)
- Extreme Clutch ($350)
- Mal Wood Pin ($100)
- ED 6 bolt Flywheel ($75)
- New brakes all around (incl. wheel bearings) ($400)
- New front shockers ($300)
- New Nolathane radius rod bushes ($100)
- ED Manual ECU ($70)
- EB V8 Brake booster conversion (double diaphram) ($100)
- Polished EL rocker cover ($60)
- New Leads/Dizzy Cap/Rotor ($120)
- Thermo fan conversion ($180)
- New wooden parcel shelf ($20)
- Sold EL GT's and bought Turbo blades (VGC, with brand new Bridgestone Grid II 215/60 rubber) ($250) <-- Stupid wrecking yard ;)

I did all the work myself, so that saved me a fair bit of dough.

To do in the next 6 months;
- Chop rear springs
- Nolathane Bushes in the rear
- XR Tickford upper rear control arms
- AU Long Motor
- New EF/EL Radiator
- New Battery
- New heater tap (current one has started rusting)

It's good though, cos most of the things i've done make the car perfect to drive. Things left to do will be things i want to do, to ensure everything keeps running smoothly.

Hmm I paid $4350 2 months ago.

It was stock AIT turbo with a Tremec TR 3550 box.

Spent $1000ish on random stuff to get a RWC.

Got a new exhaust, cam and valve springs, dyno tuning, 17's, scorcher front bar, new intercooler. Probably spent $7K all up and have 203rwkw

Bargain :P

What's classed as lately?? Don't think i've spent obsene amounts in the last year, body kit was $1200, $3700 for wheels and tyres, a fair bit has been spent on painting materials but impossible to work out. If were goin back 2-3years then that's a whole different story :P

hmm last month i've done like

1 oil change (waiting til' i hit 10k before i do the new oil change & filter) $70ish

spool(bought 3 months ago) fitted $80

that is all..

i have to do the follow in a month cause its getting bad!!

front brake pads, brake booster + master cylinder, wheel alignment(bad vibrations at 60kmph+ when turning right, turning left is ok though), head gasket, power steering pump, uni-joints, and some bushes. ALL of those problems came about when i gave it a hiding of its' life at winton race track :(

other than that... as long as my car is going i'm happy.. suprised it is still driveable lol.
