Default Focus 2012 question

Ok I missed my focus hitting 62’000 Ks today
Dropped my daughter to work had a stop to make on the way home . Noticed on the screen a petrol bowser thought what looked at gauge showed 1/4 tank used .
I did panic it was say 5 kms to 0 to 48 . Pulled into the first service station took an entire 11 litres .
Is the screen now showing how many KMs per a litre of fuel per 100 or 1000 Ks
This has never been on the screen before is this normal 🤷*♂️

There will something somewhere where you can reset it to show kilometres to empty.
Just go by the fuel gauge.
