Due for first factory service!!! and they say it will be done, it should have been done 15 bloody years ago!!

Put it this way, it has been sitting for 15 years with the same oil, same coolant same bloody everything from the factory. It's engine and driveline will be stuffed.

What about this one

You could always claim to own one of 10 EB GT-P's.

Funny thing is it's true it has a P, but it because it was a press car every mag and gerno have thrashed it before the first owner. : you can find them in most performance cars P=press vehicle.

Press/prototype...... some say one, others say not........

My understanding is there are 10 'P' cars. And only the first 3 or 4 were given to the Press to flog.
The last couple were meant to be "gifts" to some special dealers/customers.

They are great looking cars, but with the first one, they may have gone a bit far with the originality! 15 year oil couldn't be doing it the world of good.

Reminds me why I don't hang out in this forum.

The fact that it has nearly 11,000 ks on it indicates he drives it sometimes. Also, because he states 'First Factory Service' does not mean it's never had the fluids changed.

Finally, those laughing at the photo of the coolant on the driveway....how do you know that shot wasn't taken just after he flushed the cooling system and put fresh stuff in it?

I wouldn't have thought you'd be so quick on that 'Dr. Hemi'......figured you for a guy who thinks of these things before he posts.

Before someone jumps in, I don't know that any of these things are the case, but I'm willing to give the guy the benefit of the doubt...without following up his ad with an enquiry.

Just keep polishing your EA S Packs.........

Agreed. I highly doubt anybody who owned a GT would be stupid enough to leave the same oil in it for 11yrs.

Bloody hell bloke calm down, if he changed fluids regularly I would have thought he would state that in the ad in the first place. After all he does mention about the service remember. Just because he is a collector that does not make him an enthusiast or mean that he has a clue what he is doing or has done.

By the way the last I checked I had an AUII XR8 with a whole lot of engine under the bonnet (while we are throwing insults around I may as well say that mt engine would me worth more than your whole car, remember things like that before you go off half cocked) and not an EA S pack.

While what I said still stands, if I had the $$$ I'd still buy it just because the body would be damn near immaculate. Not a bad garage trophy.

For a start I wasn't having a go at Doc, no need to...think outside the square junior.

As for my car, grow up...nobody said anything about any other forum member's car except you. My comment about EA S Packs was a generalisation.

You don't even know my car, so your opinion is void anyway.

Mate seriously enough, if you don't like the forums don't participate. Simple really. The way I read your post it came across as having a go at other members cars, if that isn't what you meant then you may need to point that out and choose your words a little more wisely.

Well, that is a good point, but if this is the case, the owner really should have mentioned that they do regular fluid changes. Otherwise people will continue to presume that it is all still original.

The rest of the post was, well, garbage. You certainly made it sound like you were having a go at other people's cars.

There are quite a few EB/EL GT's on carsales at the moment I was looking yesterday and seen this beauty.

Im at a cross roads at the moment as to where I go with my next car, Ive always owned and loved E series falcons/fairmonts its all Ive ever owned, at the moment I have the EL XR6 love it to bits great car never let me down, but it is 11yrs old 183K's on the clock, now I own it outright so no issue there so I could technically keep it going for another five years and look at buying an EB/EL GT as an invesment, or I can look at selling my EL and upgrading to a BA/BF XR6 or XR8, my mate at work is loonking at selling his 04 XR8 in about a years time and Ive said to him Im keen on it, thing is a rocket, manual, PS and leather red in colour with black GT stripes. I dont want to part with an E series car because as I have said its all Ive ever owned.

Advice anyone???

yeh i wasnt sure where to go after i kind of felt the need for something new.

i ended up in a ba mk2 futura which by all means is a nice smooth car with surprising power which just comes out so lazily.

however it lacks that rawness and character of the EB.
