Hi,
Are you talking about the black plastic cover above the coils, or the aluminum valve cover? I don't think any spray can like that will be very successful, going directly on the plastic. You may need an adhesive primer, followed by light grey primer, then finally the topcoat. Spraying it while it is in the engine bay will just be messy. Anyway, there is one spray can that have impressed me lately with how shiny it is, and how well it covers. That is 'Silver Zink' spray from Supercheap Auto. However it is not very robust against wear and scratches. Cheers, |

Check out GoFurther’s Oxford White Ecoboost Mustang thread. He has done (as always) a comprehensive write-up on this (though NOT chrome).

Most chrome paints aren't that good after a while they tend to dull to a silver anyway.
Had good and bad results with Chromebrite and the other UHT product found at most truck supply stores. Not sure about undercover engine parts but bumpers, wheels and grilles do need constant touching up from dull. below are all painted with Chromebrite.

I used the Anchor brand chrome coloured rattle packs many years ago. They're an acrylic lacquer from memory. Results were pretty good but like previously stated may not be suitable for engine bays.
If the VHT stuff is anything the same as the black engine enamel its worth a practice on something else first, the stuff sprays with the consistency of custard and takes a bit to get a decent finish. That and clean with prep wash very well, it'll fish eye at the slightest hint of wax or grease.
