Default Name of the Movie ?

Does anybody remember the name of the movie which is set in a Prison were the Prisoners play the Wardens in a game of soccer ,set in England ? because the Longest Yard which i saw tonight starring Adam Sandler is very similar excepts it's American Football.
It's a great film the Longest Yard and very funny , i think it opens up on Thursday,it's a remake on the original Burt Reynolds film in 74 excepts it's funnier.
Cheers John

No worries mate, bloody good movie that one. I'm a big fan of Vinny Jones.
He's got a great role in Eurotrip.

Not anymore....

Mean Machine is actually a remake of the ORIGINAL US movie "The Longest Yard". Looks like the Americans actually made it first, Burt Reynolds as Quarterback, then Mean Machine came along, now Longest Yard again. 2 remakes. Pretty sad really. Mean Machine was a cracker, I'd bet $1000 the current one is crap.

But not as bad as XXX2. If it wasn't for the Stangs, the Shelby and that INSANE F150, the movie would have been a 0/10 in my books.

Okay, since we are helping with movie titles. What is the movie with Clint Eastwood where he steals a jet? from another country. I think it is fairly old.

It's called Firefox, he steals some thought controlled plane from the soviet union or something. It was made in the early 80's I think.

Any movie that has both Vinnie Jones and Jason Statham in it is an automatic watch for me.

Ah yeah, G'day. A couple of points:

1. The movie GTP320 originally enquired about is called "Escape To Victory".
2. The movie is not actually set in England, it's about English POWs in Germany.
3. The Longest Yard (original), was released in Australia as The Mean Machine.
4. Firefox is a good movie, but the book is better as is the second book in the series Firefox Down. Both written by Craig Thomas.

I'll get out of your way now.

I don't know sh*t about cars, but movies and stuff.........

Hahaha, had to be done! :P

I'm waiting for it to come out on DVD, so I don't know if it's as bad as some people say it is yet, but if it's like the original, the only redeeming feature will be at least one car... :sm_headba

: I have one I can't quite recall the name of. It's about this young guy who runs around with this laser sword type of thing, and he fights all sorts of bad guys. He fights this guy in black a couple of times too. I believe they made 6 of them, in a series. :

Yes, the re-make, anyway. Also includes a few ex-WWE wrestlers.
