Question Mk II Escort - SR20?

Hey everyone!

I was just wondering if anyone out there has put an SR20 in an escort?

My one has currently got a 2L in it, which I was going to juice up with the normal ways (twin 45 DCOEs, hotter Cam, New Heads etc etc) however someone gave me the idea of putting an SR20 in it.

Has anyone had any experience with this?

I'm still unsure as to whether I will do this (after all, it is kinda sacrilege) however just currently investigating my options to make this a quick car

Cheers,

Bec

All too common conversion, as are the Zetec and Duratecs. Be a devil not a sheep - mod your factory 2L. Can be made to go stupidly quick for less $$$ that a conversion and in my opinion you just can't beat the sound of dual webers.

^^ what he said. I hunted down a UK efi setup for my 2 litre, think you can get them off the 2 litre transit vans. Turbo manifolds can be had, dont underestimate the 2 litre ford donk you have.
