Illegal, pretty sure there are road laws about turning left when not in the left lane. Doesn't stop people being idiots though.

Illegal unless that lane is also marked for left turns.

If that were the case, then the left land would have to be permanently left too. And the right lane would be both left and straight, meaning the bus driver would be the ahole in the vid.

No marks on either lane.

Yep illegal... Only vehicle that can turn left in that scenario other from the left lane is a vehicle over 7.5 metres in length and it must have a sign displayed at the rear saying do not overtake turning vehicle and it must not move into the right hand lane to make the turn until it is within 50 metres from the intersection

Cannot decide based on that Video.
If the Bus was stopped at a bus stop at the time the other vehicles commenced passing, and if they indicated and changed lanes safely in front of the bus, before turning left (albeit in a single move) - then it could be OK.

Many times I have seen bus stops too close to intersections, and at times I have passed only to find the bus then leaves the stop (with little or no indication) as soon as I am committed to the pass.

The only marking I could make out in the video was the right lane but my eyes aren't the best for seeing things in small vids

simple: you must turn left or right from the extreme left or right lane only unless arrows on the road indicate otherwise

I kept the video quality very low, I'm not interested in trying to bust people.

But a car cam helps me driving around in Sydney, and peace of mind when some moran rams me and then blames me. $200 well worth spent.

I just noticed the wording on the side: "Fastway."

How appropriate.

Who cares? If this is the worst thing you see driving around Sydney, you must be having a pretty good day.

And yes, not legal for this vehicle.

Definitely illegal. But it is OK as it is a courier driver and they do as they please as in their opinion they are the only people in a hurry.

Normally I see couriers blocking up the right lane at 10+km/h under the limit.

Yup couriers are the biggest pain in the *** at work too, can't work out why they seem to think getting in the way of b doubles is going to have a good outcome for them.

More on topic, how many lanes on that roundabout?

On one hand youve got people whinging about how couriers drive and on the other youve got people whinging about how long it takes for a parcel to arrive.

End of the day he didnt crash nor did he cause anyone else to crash, so I dont see the big deal.

First World problems...

I come across this situation all the time driving home from work. When I'm in the left lane and there is little traffic around(late at night), I will check my mirror to see if the car behind has their left indicator on. If they do, I will move to the right lane

That’s very courteous of you, however, there aren’t many people around like that anymore.

I used to do the same thing until I got sick of people not giving a courtesy wave. Now I couldn’t be stuffed, they can wait.
