Most people here I am sure have heard of Summit Racing in the US. Is there a company in Australia that shares about as much notoriety? Who are the popular performance spares stores?

VPW and Rocket Industries would have to be the biggest in Australia, though they are quite small compared to the US companies.

Due to the difference in population I wouldn't expect a company there to be as large as Summit, but I would think you would have a company or two that people automatically think of (popularity) when they are going to get speed parts for their cars. Then again, I don't know, maybe you've got more specialised companies that you go to for specific parts? Maybe depending on the generation of cars, like old muscle cars and newer modern cars?
Thanks for the replies. Steve

Who is old enough to remember "Brian's speed shop" that used to be at the top end of Elizabeth St in Melbourne?
I think there may have been a couple of other stores as well- Western suburbs & Moorabbin? Gees, i really am showing my age! |

Hell pinkbits, I remember Brians. I used to buy some stuff there , untill professional performance gt a bit bigger in Sunshine! It was too far to travel all the way to brians . I think the last thing I bought from Brians was a set of Sheel driving seats in about 1988 for my XW ute . Wow, memories huh !!!!

They dont always have to be the biggest to be the cheapest, we have a store in South Australia called Outlaw Speed Supplies, the boys there can get you what ever you want pretty much, and they will match if not better any price you get anywhere else.
