Default Silent Hill movie

Just received "Silent Hill" on DVD (I ordered from the US). I am looking forward to this one. If anyone has seen it, don't provide spoilers, just say whether you liked it or not (don't give reasons).

Was the movie directed by Uwe Boll?

Loved the game series as well ... even though parts were pretty scarey ... but was very involving.

I think it's on at the drive-ins at the moment ... would be great to go and test the stereo out in the ute

Look it can't be worse than the 2 Resident Evil films.. or mortal kombat

I'm a huge fan of those game. and the w*nker Paul Anderson who always tries to make those video game movies, RUINS them.

so im glad he didnt touch this one =)

i've only ever played about half of the original game on PSX, never played any of the other games in the series.

the preview has been running on fox for about a week now.
from the preview it seems the movie is based on the story of the first game, and slightly before it.

people who played the original will remember the bloke you play as is searching for his wife and daughter in silent hill, the movie seems to be about what happened to his wife prior to him arriving and then what happens when he arrives.

the preview also plays the original theme song from the game.

this movie appears to crap all over resident evil, mortal kombat, doom, every other game turned movie you could list.

although i haven't read anything about the movie and i'm writing solely based on what i saw on the preview, this looks like one the fans are gonna cream over.
