Hi All,
I have the Au01 falcon and the door locks have the normal problem of the plastic gear worm breaking. I did search the forums and found much information, but i am hopeful for some clear answers before i spend more money on these locks I have a few questions. Has anyone purchase the replacement Cog online? if so has the replacements broken? Can you either post up here or PM me the Ebay link to the store you bought them from (as there is a few different ones) Also Has anyone upgraded to the BF actuator with the wiring loom adapter? if so, has that failed? or have they resolved the problem? Did you have to buy the adapter from ford? Any information you guys can give would be awesome Cheers all

I tried the replacement gear/motor but didn't fix my problem.
The actual mechanism was worn/faulty (return coil spring). I got the newer replacement with adapter loom, and problem solved. It came from Bayford on Ebay. |

I've bought two complete actuators from The Strut & Actuator Shop on Ebay about four years ago. Both are still working fine.
If you don't want to go through Ebay his phone number is in the Ad, when I rang to order mine Grant (the owner) was playing Golf! If you live in Melb you can pick them up, if not it's overnight post with a reply paid post bag to send the old one back. http://stores.ebay.com.au/STRUT-ACTU...2&_sc=1&_sop=1

I think he just reconditions the originals, that's why he wants your old one sent back.

I've only had to replace the cog once ever and that was in the drivers door actuator...I bought it locally here in Mildura (The same bloke sells them on ebay - guysautowarehouse).

I have already replaced all of mine twice in the past, it is a costly excercise, the BF ones with the adapter sound promising
