I have noticed that in the UK they sell a Fiesta Zetec and a Zetec S
The Zetec S has a closer ratio gearbox, bigger wheels, kit and better seats. So did we just get the normal Zetec version or did we get the Zetec S running gear....both have same engine just different box And why don't we get the ST or the turbo diesel engine...I would have gotten a turbo 1.6 or at least considered it. |

You get the standard Zetec model
Zetec S adds: 16” sports alloy wheels Sports fog lights Lowered and stiffened sports suspension Short-shift, close-ratio gearbox Sports gear knob with satin silver gaiter ring Sports ‘aero’ kit including high-intake front grille and rear spoiler Sports front seats CFC-free air conditioning with air recirculation And as for choice of models, I suppose they cant really justify it for what is a relatively small market. |

Speaking of turbo diesels, I hope they bring they start bringing the new turbo diesels here, as I'd buy one. Puegeot sell half their cars as turbo diesels in Oz, so I don't think it's unviable. Similar horsepower for twice the torque in the Focus, and at only 2 grand - yes please!

Turbo diesel makes sense with rising fuel costs. And it makes good power and torque these days and they are not noisey like they use to be.
I assume it will happen over time as fuel costs continue to rise. I thought we only had the basic Zetec model. |
