I think it is a box you fill in when you register.

That'd be me. When I was registering it asked if I was referred by a current member, that would be you.

It's up to the person when signing up to enter something in that field. I mean, if EVERYONE who signed were to say who referred them, I'm sure everyone would have someone!

Sorry to throw this old thread up again (beats making a new one though), but...

How can you find out who referred you? I had one referral for ages and never thought about it that much, but tonight a mate on MSN signed up to the forums, and listed me as a referral (he told me he referred me, and then that got me thinking... hence the post).

Or are the referrals kept private/unknown?

Try asking people you know on the forrums that you knew before they joined. I think I have 2 or 3 and could probably tell you who they are just by guessing.

If you have an idea of who it is and their username it can be checked.

Ahh it's all good, I don't want to be of any bother! So I take it that it's a thing that moderators can look into, but it's not a feature that regular members can find out for themselves.

I was under the assumption that I'm dense & that I COULD find out for myself, but couldn't find the magic button/link that would tell me who referred me.

Thanks for the offer though!

Oh, and big_waity, I cbf asking everyone I know who it was!

Kyle, we all love you here Your contributions, especially the first 1000 posts, were very valuable!
