Default DRL relay trigger wire

Hi All.
My wife has asked me to add some DRL's to her 2009 Ford Fiesta.
I have fitted the lights and a relay to power them. What I can not find is a ACC controlled power source in the engine bay to trigger the relay to operate the DRL's. I can only find power sources that are all ways on.
Any suggestions of where to look.

cheers
kiwimagic

If you look at the engine bay junction box, one of either F23 (15A), F30 (20A) or F36 (20A) should be blank as they are used for 'optional' features so you should be able to power the relay from one of those as they are only 'hot' in the run position.

Have a look at the wiring schematics for your model in our Tech portal as it contains the locations of the various junction boxes.

In the engine bay, that Junction Box might be referring to the box clipped to the back of the Battery Box? It can be a bit hard to get to and remove, but that's the only one i can think of. The main high current breaker fuses are nearby as well - the big 40, to 120A jobbies.

Hi. Yes that is the fuse box I found the power source for the lights and also have found a Acc power point for the trigger wire. The top row of fuses are powered all the time. But the second row power up in Acc mode.
