Not a whinge, just curious - don’t seem to see many $200 Barras now; eighteen months back it was easier pickings.
What’s happened - have prices gone up, are people dreaming, is the supply mostly gone to scrap? |

Supply would be drying up and plus they've gained international attention now because of various youtubers.
Same with LS1, I reckon its more supply with the LS1 though, same with the boat anchor 304, can't believe wrecker 304 prices for such a turd. |

Our Territory with the dodgy trans was handed off cheaply, but I considered what I was practically giving away under the bonnet. Strong engine in there, just too expensive to make it turn the wheels

In Sweden some Youtubers fitted a Barra Turbo to a Volvo, so yes they are getting internationally renowned.
Link Below: https://engineswapdepot.com/?p=39420 I suspect more and more will be used for conversions so prices will dry up. I called a Wrecker looking for a power steering pump and they refused to sell it to me, they said " we use the entire engine as a kit for conversions, so we wont seperate it".

Ask for sweet n sour sauce with your tenders at KFC, receive aioli - yeah sorry bro COVID causing listening issues. 20 minute delay on your quarter pounder at Maccas drivethru, war in Ukraine causing delays between kitchen to drivethru. Ask for lactose free milk in your cappucino, get soymilk instead - long COVID afflicting barista. |

Everyone trying to recoup their losses I guess. Wasn't referring to excuses, just pricing.

What would I know just been drinking Soy for the last 40 years. Lactose free "milk" is just another chemically modified product as far as I can tell.

I decided that I like my own boobs to stay male and hairy Anyway, back on track. Good luck getting your hands on an FG XR6T Barra and ZF these days, I reckon you'd probably be paying close to five figures. I even saw LS1s going for $4000+ just for the engine + accessories without the trans. LS1 used to be cheap as. |

Are there still true “backpackers” getting around itinerantly on a shoestring budget? Or is it now much more glammed up? I’d like to know what percentage of WWOOF vacancies are being filled, for example. |

Wonder if the Kings Cross car markets are still going, guess that's indication if they are still here. Have seen a few getting around again in older Hiace's.
