Default Need To Replace Globes In Dash

the globes in my dash have blown,(already check fuses) does anyone know how to remove the panel that the stereo and air-con dials sit in? It's a AU2

You need to remove the radio first. Once you've done that, there are 2 screws behind where the radio sits, and another 2 or 3 in behind the ashtray. Take all the screws out and the surround should just pull out - it's positioned firmly, so you may have to prise it with a screwdriver.

Depending on which globes have blown, there are some that are just bayonet type fittings in the back of the a/c panel. For the others, you will need to remove the a/c controls, and pull the a/c panel apart to replace the globes in it. At least 3 of the globes are soldered to the circuit board, so they are not easy to replace.

To remove the AU radio, you will need the Ford DIN removal tool, or a piece of thickish wire (coathanger should do) bent to fit the holes - 2 on each side of the radio. Push them in till you hear a click from each side, then push the tools or the wire outwards (ie on drivers side, push towards drivers door, passenger side towards passenger door), while pulling the radio out (yes, all at the same time).
