not quoting any evidence , but it seems to me that there is a lot of chaos in the world of late . lots of info on news not on tv etc etc . riots everywhere , and it seems allies are being formed and disclosed quite quickly , on top of this the doom and gloom conspiricies and economic doom sayers seem to be everywhere .
im i just having one of those days or do others get that feeling ?

your not alone mate, i often think to myself how much better it was when Australia was pretty much self sufficient in trading up to point and was`nt involved so much with the rest of the worlds problems, well apart from world wars and stuff

, i reckon the computer internet/modern media has a lot to answer for also with all the doom and gloom.
it was probably always there but now every thing that happens is on your screen in minutes from it happening , there`s no escape.

Nup, the world is far less chaotic than it has ever been.

The difference is now every single pleb on the planet has access to huge amounts of information about events that have noting to do with them, tend to spend far too much time being offended or outraged over things about which they can do nothing and are manipulated into feeling guilty over things that they had no interaction with.

The problem with information is that it has to be processed and the dumber you are the less ability you have to actually understand any information.

In the last century we have been gradually increasing the level of information while lowering the average IQ due to "accidental" anti-eugenics which has led to most of the situations we find ourselves in at this point.

IQ isn't a measure of intelligence as most people believe it to be. Your IQ score demonstrates how good you are at IQ tests...not much more. So when you drive you don't spend more time watching the speedo than the outside road in case you go 5km/h over the limit and if you do you don't automatically pay a fine without contesting it?

The average Australian is SO DUMB that they believe that speed kills, guns are only for terrorists, they have a right to be given a job but not have to work, universities are full of people who know what is best for them, the public service exists to make things happen not prevent things happening, gambling in clubs is good for the community and all the other crap that rammed down our throats.

I don't think the world is in chaos, but we now have access to everything that is going wrong, and don't have the ability to filter it. We live in the age of information/knowledge, but not the age of wisdom. Just because you know a piece of information does not mean you actually are any wiser for it.

Put it this way - doomsdayers have been around for thousands of years. In fact many modern religions purport that their make-believe friends will take over when it all comes to an end. So they actively encourage you to be afraid of the end of the world so you can join their club and support them with money to pray to their non-existent friend too.

It's hard to say where the next flare up will be but i reckon within 2 years america will have a real situation on their hands with a currency crisis born by their inability to pay off external debt and the federal reserve continuing to print money like its going out of fashion. This is a huge deal and could mean usa will start wars to distract their local population, which they're on the verge anyway.

There will always be a section of the population that can be easily led. You just have to look at the kooky things people believe to understand that.

Chaos? Perhaps wider reporting and access to world events makes it feel that way, would be interesting to see it broken down into numbers. I have major events happening anywhere in the world delivered straight to my handset within moments of it happening. 30 years ago, I would have had to have sought out that information - if it was even reported here.
