Going to work this morning and had what I thought was a black Mondeo up my cracker, when he eventually passed me I couldn't figure out what it was.
1. Left Hand drive with warning signs. 2. Front of a Mondeo 3. Sedan, not wagon or hatch. 4. Rear looked like an FGX but smaller 5. Twin exhausts with chrome triangular outlets like a Merc. New Ford model????

Has been a couple of threads over the last few months of people spotting this car wondering what it is......
Positively identified as the Chinese Taurus.

Won't be coming here according to this http://www.motoring.com.au/chinese-t...lbourne-51055/
I think they'll want people buying the Mondeo, and we have a better chance of seeing some variants of that than a new sedan. |

Seems a pity to have a car designed here and not sell it here.
With that said what happened to "One Ford" This Taurus is being sold in China only - not even the US is getting a Taurus replacement. Personally, I think this would make a decent Fairlane replacement. I believe it's a bit bigger than Falcon. |

G'day....IF and only if....the Mondeo's come in Euro Spec only..and I have no idea if that'll be the case..Read this and focus mainly on the engines part..Can't see a V6 Ecoboost there apologies if I missed it..The Hybrid battery thing is interesting..will last about 10 years or 150,000 miles (240,000 kms)..That's spaceship mileages in Europe but run in mileages for Oz..so I hope the batteries don't cost the earth to upgrade..
http://www.carbuyer.co.uk/news/91004...specifications ..What do you think ?...Cheers Rod.. Last edited by roddy1960; 08-10-2016 at 05:28 PM. |

G'day all...See what you make of this article..Australia is mentioned but kind of reads European Spec ..but US spec (Fusion) does have a V6 TT..etc..
That'd be good.. http://www.caradvice.com.au/408180/2...lines-changes/ Cheers Rod.. |

Depending on whether or not you're a glass half full type of guy even the way ford has worded the spiel for the final farewell at Avalon could be taken as falcon living on...
