Narrowing it down by car brands that have an oval shaped emblem on the front grille....

I would say it is a 2000 Subaru Forester.
  • The front black grille is Subaru.
  • The wheels are Subaru stock for a 2000 model.
  • Rear tail lights are 2000 Subaru.
  • Digital enhancement of the side on image reveals lower grey moulding on the doors from half way down ... Subaru.
  • The photos are distorted due to the wide angle lens of the camera making the car look longer and wider than it actually is.
  • Centre back tailgate logo is Subaru emblem position for those years.

Doesn't appear to have any plates on it, suggesting unregd or stolen, but you could get lucky & find it in the local neighbourhood (if it's a regular).
The pattern of the stuffed clear coat on the bonnet should be enough for a positive ID.
