Why only the last 75 days of posts shown by default?

I hate it when you go to somewhere like a sub-category of the technical documents and there are no threads shown, because by default it only shows posts from the last 75 days.
Can the default be changed to show all? There is often only a couple of pages of threads in total, so show all is not that many threads.

You control the default for your profile in your user control panel. The link for the UserCP is in the top navbar and you can set it to show all.

I didn't even relaise that was the default

Yes it can be changed.

Go to your User Control Panel (User CP from the title bar (in yellow) on the far left.

On the LHS panel under Settings & Options choose Edit Options.

In the boxed area titled Thread Display Options the last option is Default Thread Age Cut Off;

From the drop down select anything from Show thread from the: last day through to Show All Thread (which I use).

You might want to alter how many posts display per page while you are there also.
