Default help installing a amp in my ef

hey guys, ive wired up the amp n sub,workin good


but .... howw do i pass the red wire (+) down from the engine bay to the car? is there a hole i can poke it thru or what not?

Default Grommets

Check on the firewall ( Drivers side if I remember ) for a rubber grommet without anything going through it. Cut or drill a hole through it and it will seal the cable and protect it from rubbing on metal. You can then hide the wire under the door sill trims and carpet

You can go through the wheel well if you want, saves drilling holes and rubbish.

i just drilled a hole neer the stering collem, put a plastic tube in it and ran the wire through then boged it with sclicon, works a treat

got it guys


now another problem - 4 sum reason it all doesnt want to work! the remote wire's in, the power led on the amps on .... but no fuses are blown.... so for some reason, the sub aint a pumpin :S

RCA connected?
Gain turned up?
Head unit levels up for sub?

theres heaps of reasons
what colour is the LED? red or green? is the colour saying safe mode?

make sure everything is earthed properly, and all the cables leading out of the amp arent loose at all, i had similar problems once

I used the hole mentioned above that is pluged by the small rubber plug, saves drilling holes through the fire wall.

If you need a hand getting it all working let me know

go the garden hose in the hole!! works a treat.

your amp should have an LED indicator. if that on power is fine. check all the connections if they are ok. must be the wiring to the sub

Also ur remote wire hasnt been connected 2 the power has it. ! mistake i made and neva again lol
