Default Bill Tuckey Aussie motoring writer.

Hello all,
following on from another thread that mentioned the book 75 years of Australian Fords True Blue, I am curious to know whether the author Bill Tuckey is still active. I know he was seriously ill around 2010 but can find nothing past that time period.
I very much enjoyed reading his scribblings as he was down to earth with no BS.

cheers
Bill

Yes; he had a stroke in 2010 http://blogs.news.com.au/dailytelegr.../good_man_down But quickly scrolling through his daughter's, Elisabeth Tuckey's, Twitter account https://twitter.com/elisabethtuckey I couldn't find anything recently. Perhaps ask her or scroll through all her twitter posts.

I'm not sure how well Bill Tuckey is currently, I do hope he is up & around.

Not many may know how much of an impact he had on the motoring scene. Not just in Australia either. To my knowledge he instigated the world's first COTY (Car of the Year) award back around 1964 when he was at Wheels.

Motoring mags all around the world have copied them since then.

He was a pretty straight shooter & told it how it was.

Thanks, I did the usual google search and saw the linkedin account but as I originally stated I am just curious as to what his status is these days.
Anyone over 40 who read Car Australia and Wheels in those days will understand
Bill.
