So i'm driving along to the gym today, cars running well, next thing you know my fuel gauge goes from full to empty and stayed there for a good 10 mins. WTF! so i pull over turn ther car off and back on again and its fine, 5mins later its reading empty again????? what is going on???
any sugestions from you guys i'm almost ready for my 60k service but don't really want to go in before then. HELP! |

Mine has been replaced 3 times now for the same problem, it's a common fault with them. Make them give you a lifetime warranty if it happens again, thats what I did on mine.

Don't know a Focus that HASN'T done this, no joke. 100% failure here on the forums.

Mine did it for the first time in Adelaide recently. I'm also going to get the dealer to fix it and an annoying rattle in the exhaust region (might be a catalytic convertor problem) which has surfaced in some owners cars too!.
BTW Zetec, WTG with 'Sexy Sandwich'??? |

My wifes just started doing this last week
I will hopefully get it sorted when it goes in for its 15k service Must be very common any ideas on what they do to fix do they replace the sender in tank ?
