Yeah im heading down on saturday to give the ba turbs a run after the tuning process, now has 250rwkws at 10 psi should be good for low to mid 13s. was absolutly packed when i went down a month ago, and at least half the cars were purpose built drag cars with a number plate stuck on the back.

Silly question, however, guys, do you have to have tail shaft loop etc?
anything else other than helmet?

not for cars slower than 11 seconds. probably a good insurance mod though mick.

for street meets all you need is kneck to toe clothing (jumper and jeans) enclosed shoes (so the chinese safety boots are out...thongs ) and an australian standards helmet.

i am out racing wise due to money constraints (need all of it for a new project im looking at... not car related unfortunately) sorry guys but i'll be there in spirit.

Any tips for a n00b so he doesn't embarass himself Twitch :
good ideas for good launch with ZF 6 speed auto, revs etc. manual shift or auto?

best tip is really trial and error, learning from mistakes.

don't let your street tyre pressures down below 30 psi (doesn't really do anything apart from killing your top end speed) but if you're on slicks, then its a different story.

try launching with spool (foot on brakes and slowly build up revs) at 1500 rpm to 3000 rpm. (trial and error, you don't want wheel spin but you don't want to bog it down either).

nail the go pedal as the third orange light comes on (best for R/T, 60ft and overall E/T)
my best R/T is 0.08 but because im still sorta bogging it off the line my 60ft time was 2.250.

talk to other racers and take in their advise. even though they might be in a ricer or holden, majority of the guys and girls there are really helpful and offer advise freely.

last tip, but most important one HAVE FUN! but beware it is SO adictive.
