It's good news that you will get your car back. Hopefully they haven't done any damage. Have you been allowed to check the car over yet? I know when a friend had her car stolen the police allowed her to check it over for damage so it could go into the report. That was obviously after they collected what evidence they needed or could from it first.
Good luck, hope they get what they deserve instead of just a slap on the wrist.

IT had a cobra alarm fitted i think its an american alarm. The reason i have to wait so long for the car is that it has to be forenisic tested thats where the car is...I briefly saw the car the front window is smashed the front bar is smashed that looks like the only damage and what ever they done to start it....Im calling them every second day so i can try and rush them on doing the tests...THe idiots did manage to get away from cops in carnegie but got caught in caulfied lets just say they wernt the smartests of crooks....

In tokyo I think, they chop your right hand off for stealing. My mum went there and people were leaving their bags in the street and she came back to find it untouched. we need this system

you may be able to plead financial hardship to whoever has your car.
most organisation like the police etc, will get a move on if you express that the situation is causing you severe financial hardship. its worth a shot and you will most likely have your car back before you know it, if you are genuinely in need of that transport. |

What has got me stumped is how they got passed the smartlock and alarm..And they where not that good crooks......They used the car in a robbery and its not the best car to steal if you where a crook. One its loud as and to it stand out,i was lucky because i just brought a new clutch and flywheel and was going to put it in the weekend before but something cumb up and i couldnt do it...It still has the stockies on the back i fried 4th and fifth gear on the sunday night before....So when the cop said to me that they got away in carnegie they must have been reving the **** out of it in 3rd because 4 and fifth wernt that crash hot.....I was lucky because when i asked if my simmons rear wheels where still in the boot they said yes..It could have been worse they could have crashed it or burnt it just the front bumper is stuffed, window and i havnt seen inside so i hope its not to bad....

Smartlock isn't hard to get around.. Was it just an alarm or an immobilser aswell?? if it was just an alarm then its a 1 minute job to disable..
Best of luck with it and i hope everything turns outs good.. Hopefully this is a small wake up call to some of you guys out there with regard to car security.. Cheers, Nik
