Has any one put this piggy back ecu on there car I am looking at getting one because you can program it from your laptop and it is only $1000

yes, used quite a few of them in vehicles ranging from xr6ts (420rwhp) to vx v6 commodores, subarus and supras. Found them easy to work with and have had good results from them. Install them, drop in the map to suit the application ( on supplied cd), and off you go. This leaves the factory cold start and idle control in check too.
Where they differ from stand alone units is in the fuel/ignition tables you add/subtract values as a percentage. Also gives you extra aux outputs in some applications that you can allocate to drive extra stuff. No problem using big injectors with either. All tune work was done on a dyno. There is also good back up support from Haltech too. Hope this helps Craig

hey .i have the Interceptor in my EF I6,wired it up in about 1 hour useing the diagram Haltech sent me..the car instantly ran rich,despite Haltech saying it doesnt change anything,it seems the std ecu is correcting something ?(needs to go directly to dyno.)I now have a t70 turbo with a 12psi w/gate spring..diy manifold ala CHEF(thanks CHEF!)..can anyone help with my overfuelling and ignition settings?..I cant take it to the dyno for a month or so yet..can give more details..
