Default 1976 XB 4 door sedan project WA auction

Just browsing Pickles Salvage Auctions and noticed a XB 4 door fake GT project suspect a Ex drag car. (JG34RP) in Perth WA.

I am not associated with the vehicle or sale venue. Just a heads up if someone might be interested. Rough and I suspect will be cheap! Lot 16 Salvage Starts on 22/08 at 16:30.

Closes on the 26/8 @ 14:00 ish

I guess under $1000 (parts value) . Depends if more than one bidder really wants it and/or strength of any vendors bids?

$7 atm

Up to $4400 in under 1 hour, I think you can add another Zero to that estimate

Pretty much everything is in the boot, except the motor, to put it back together.
Provided it needs no major rust work, would be a good project to finish off.
Put it together and start driving, great steel bumper cruiser.
Compliance plates JG34, makes it a Fairmont I think.
Although the compliance plates have been removed and screwed back on.

Final bid $8200! Showing as “ended”. Not sure if this means sold?

Well that's a score in my book, sure, it needs some work, but it's in pretty good condition really (without knowing if it has hidden rust).

Yeah $8.2k seems like a pretty good deal even if it's full of bog and hidden rust.

That always annoyed me, a % fee for selling something. Why should they get paid more for selling a $40k car over a $20k car? Have they done more work to earn that money? It's not like they put in twice as much effort/time in selling the $40k car.

As above, $10k all up for a somewhat original XB is (unfortunately) cheap for today's market.

Yep, And they charge the seller to auction it, I have sold some some stuff through them before and they took a nice chunk
