When I try to log in at or very near to 4am (AFF time), it takes almost forever to log in and I end up with the message that I've been timed out and that I need to try again later. This has been happening for the last several weeks or so. I started taking note of the time and realized it always happens at just about 4am. If I logged on before that, everything is fine and I can post or view threads without probs. But only until 4am up till about 4:05am. Because during that time, viewing a thread, changing pages, posting a reply or private messaging, all I see is that circle that turns (thinking).......then I end up timed out and have to try again later.
I'm wondering if there's some reset or down time at 4am? *It's not a big deal, I can just avoid logging on or being on here at 4am AFF time. |

Yes there is - 4.00 a.m is when the backup is done and it's a server intensive process that usually takes about 8 minutes.
Cheers Russ

There's never a good time to do it but I picked 4a.m as the least obtrusive of any - better than the old server days where it could take up to an hour!
Cheers Russ

Understandable.
I was going to say ... 8min isn't bad for a backup really.

Very true. With all that goes on in here, 8min is nothing. And at 4am (AFF time) it's prob the best time with the least amt of visits/posts/traffic here.
Thanks! |
