Default Speedo off

Hey guys,

my speedo seems off by alot, i did the 5 speed convertion and since then my speedo has been siting on 50 when im doing 60 and around 85 when im doing 110, i was passing people when i was doing 90 on the free way and i know pwoplw dont drive 85 on a 110km/h freeway,

h have tryed 3 different speed sencers,

i have a digital speedo, and im out of ideas on how to fix it, is it time for a new dash, if so where would i buy one that i could get and then have it set to the same km's

any one got any ideas

they can be re-callibrated. try that first. ask your mechanic about where to get it done.

As far as I'm aware swapping the box shouldn't impact on the speedo readouts? Did you put the speedo gear from your auto into the T5?

perhaps the jacar speedo kit, but that is really designed for cars with different diff gears... did u change diffs too?

no the diff wasnt changed and i put the speed sender from the auto in this gearbox but its off and i dont know why, im stumped

Keep the same speedo transducer, just change the gear. You need to speed the speedo up, so change the gear to one with less teeth. There is a number on the end of the gear (19, 20, 21 eg). I would go for a 2 tooth change and see how it goes.

If you changed the transducer from the auto to the manual your speedo should read the same...but if thats not the case then probably do as smally351 suggested.
