Default Ford Against Lotus Elise

my mate has a lotus Elise....I have and Ef 6i..

Of the line ooooh ho He blew me away .....5no 6 body lengths...
Rolling start 2 body lenghth...

He has a slower rolling start 50km/h this is where the 2*2L milk bottles are unmistakable.....What do you know Im im the lead and am smoking him...

Moral....Auto is for launches....In my EF...It would be better to have a 5t... tHE REVS SIMPLY DONT BUILD. Solution TURBO....... : You are feeling me....

Problem...i just got my liecence back after 1 year. So i drive like a grand mother...Problem...My EF Fairmont is in prestene condition in and out..I dont want to mess it up and Woganoi it.... :hihi:

So my solution... Either Tickford 6I Ghia or V8 Ghia This was i can still have a clean and classy car for every day while having a bit more grant for when i feel like it...

Over and out.....

Building upon this fantastic first post, two Family Guy quotes come to mind:

Peter Griffin: [inside Lois' head] I'm a tumor, I'm a tumor, I'm a tumor. I'm a tumor, I'm a tumor, I'm a tumor, I'm a tumor, I'm a tumor, I'm a tumor, oh-oh, I'm a tumor!

and...

Peter Griffin: Hi. I'm in the other room and I'm trying to get some sleep...
cheese guy: Look, a wagon wheel!
Peter Griffin: What the hell's your problem?
cheese guy: I just smoked a whole bunch of crack!

http://www.putfile.com/media.php?n=familyguytimer

In all seriousness however, what on earth are you on about illusivedreams? Something about a lotus elise, your licence, lamenting over owning an EF Fairmont (WHICH DOESNT REV) and pining for a Tickford or V8 Ghia. It's tuesday night man, substance abuse shouldn't really be indulged in til Friday.

haha that's my favourite family guy moment, second being when Peter is talking to the grim reaper, trying to help him get a girlfriend, casually takes death's hood off and screams at the top of his lungs @ the site, then goes right back to a calm straight face after replacing the hood.

i can't find a clip of that scene, but here's one from the same episode

anyway back on topic.

.......... which was............

Interesting Thread.

So having just got his licence back and claiming he drives like a granny, he illegally drags an Elise and loses :

So now to fix that, he wants an ordinary V8 or Tickford 6, Because a Turbo on his current car would WOGAFI it. :

Just tell your mate that Lotus' are designed for women, have a look at the pedals, they are closer together than normal for that specific reason.

Your racing a 1600kg boat designed for families against a car designed for enthusiasts, of course your going to get your : .

If you think its bad racing him in a straight line wait till you hit a corner, while the lotus will fly through it the falcon will most likely float into the closest pole.

wow was u tired. Ok I will translate.

I was racing my friends Lotus. At no stage was I thinking I was thinking I was going to win. And man does it corner..I have driven it befor.

The Road is in closed complex .Where i work... I will take some picutres of the industrial estate...You need a swipe card to enter....=No police and a healthy liecence.

What i would like is a faster car with out butchering the immaculate looking EF I own.

I will be looking for A FAIRMONT as I like there style and general look . I dont want to do up a car as such. i just want one that is quicker than my i6. Such variants are Tickford enhanced I6 or the v8...

Hope that had more logic.... or maybe not

You must have had a wicked night last night mate.

I forsee you losing a crapload of money by selling your EF for another EF that goes marginally quicker. How would throwing on some bolt-ons (or a cam) be regarded as "butchering" your car?

Remember, if it's reversable, it's not butchering ;)

Exactly just get a - cam, chip, exhuast and extractors. That will get you going heaps faster than a Ghia with I6HO or V8.

Then just store the original stuff in the garage and simply bolt it back on when you want to return it to stock.

My mate owns a lotus elise as well (upgrade with the exige engine), and during a track day, it was running faster laps than a ferrari. Eventually he lapped the Ferrari.

There's a couple of vid's on top gear with the Exige model. They put a Helicopter gunship on it's tail and tried to get missile lock. They failed. Recently ran a new Mustang against the exige and the exige had it for Breakfast. 1.8 litre engine. They are quick. Well he proved it with the run against the Ferrari.
