Default Biker charged over youtube joyride.

Quote:
A motorcyclist is facing serious charges after allegedly filming himself speeding through Canberra's streets before posting the footage on the internet. The 20-year-old man will face court after police used the videos, posted on YouTube, to track him down. In the videos, the camera is aimed at the motorcycle's speedo as the bike exceeds 200km/h in a 60km/h zone.

Hahaha another silly bugger getting caught out.

It's even more funny when we can see the footage ourselves:

What an idiot.

He's an absolute moron. Not a very smart person showed by the fact he posted his exploits on youtube for everyone (including the police) to see.

Dumb a$$

However, did you notice the number plate was pixilated?

The Police must have traced this back via YouTube and the ISP. So watch out any would be you tubers.

He is probably the same sort of person who thinks us riders lane splitting to the lights is dangerous as well.

actually I am a rider as well, and I wouldn't take offense to my comment (if someone else said it) purely because no sane person would actually be stupid enough to open a door in front of a rider

it was a joke relating to people like that ( as in the biker who got caught) give riders a bad name for their stupid behavior that gets publicized.

At least we know Bubba will be singing the song "Sexual Healing" by Marvin Gaye because of the fresh meat about to land square in the grinder.

I was stumbling through the other articles linked in toolbars on the page:
http://news.ninemsn.com.au/world/704...s-kills-mother

This one left me truly speechless.

Does anyone hold any regard for anyone else's life anymore?

Another try hard, I guess like the same idiots that do 200 + on the freeways in cars and weave in and out of traffic.

Snappy and Peuty cant help but agree with your comments, It scares me to think that people can joke about such things. There are enough idiots on the roads on bikes along with cars without comments like these.

Slow & boring. If you're gonna post yourself speeding, surely you'd make it worthwhile. What a flog.

Someone actually did open their door in front of me (typical moron who doesn't look out for motorcycles : ) when I was riding past them a couple of weeks ago. They probably wondered why I swerved and beeped. Lucky I was only doing 60kph at the time.

Back on topic though - The fact that the guy posted the video on YouTube in the first place is the dumbest thing. We have all done stupid things on our bikes. Making the video is one thing but doing so and posting it where it is clearly visable to everyone is complete and utter stupidity.

I believe there are techniques the police can use to determine whether the vid has been doctored or not.
