car boots are the most evil things on the planet, I remember when they tried to introduce them in Australia, the public went bunta - do we not remember? tradies cutting them off with concrete saws - all kinds of insane behavior it is morally wrong to incapacitate a motor vehicle because it is parked crooked or something I wish him the best of luck and hope all car "boot guys" get all their bad karma back multiplied by three

Those car boots are so evil. What if you had an emergency and needed to drive somebody to the hospital or something, but because you parked slightly off, or forgot to display some tag, you car became un-drivable.

Victoria has these clamps for fine defaulters etc.

Funny how they can't spend money on hospitals etc, but can waste it on this useless crap.

from what i could find he got hit with a gag order for 12 months and then the APS manager is filing civil suit against him for slander and privacy violation. Think its gunna cost him some $$$ (but i dont think he ever had to pay the fine)

Stick to the facts (dont call people names). there is a reason a current affair etc have legal advisers

i never really understood the legality of incapacitating someone else's property.

what would be the distinction between clamping a car, and barricading a house to deny you entry?

God on him. Did his reasearch and stuck by it. He was in the wrong by forgetting his permit, but I can see how he could do this.

Good read though!

If you read further in the contract APS are supposed to provide to warnings before clamping, which they didn't.
