Default holes in bonnets

Just curious as to whether I can be pinged for having the cat scratch removed from my bonnet where the pod filter sits. There is nothing protruding from the bonnet and the hole is there from the factory. Just want to know in case I get pulled over

why would you remove it? not much air coming in?
I suppose you could say it was broken as a result of jealousy for having such a nice vehicle and you're currently in the process of tracking another one down??

Mate you can get a scoop put in place of the hole - they look horn! They're referred to as a "sequential scoop" and I think you can buy them off a guy from fordmods.com.

to answer the original question, yes, you can get pinged for it, it may be a hole that was there from the factory, but it was designed to have something in/over it
