Sweet looking car! One thing I noticed though, you say it's a Ghia, but it looks like a Fairmont to me. It doesn't have Ghia badges, and it's got the EAII Ghia style seats (which were standard in the EB Fairmont). Don't EB Ghias have the Recaros?

Thats one sweet ride.........

I think the EA's, EB's & ED's have a tougher look than the EF's & EL's

Not too sure if its a Ghia or plain Fairmont, However it does have some features of the Ghia, So Ill have to look into it.

It has an electronic cluster, climate control, LSD, velour trims and trip computer. A lot of the badges have been removed from the car aswell.

Those are all features of the Fairmont Ghia, arent they?

those lights are just the aftermarket twinlight copies...

not knocking the car at all....looks really good....

EB Fairmont would have all those features....LSD was optional on everything from GLI up so depends if they ticked the option (anyone can fit a diff out of something else too...)

ghia5l's car is a series 1 and has all the things EDXR6T mentioned....
only difference between series 1 and series 2 interiors is the colours and doortrims...

series 1 has EA Ghia style velour inserts with dark grey leather, whereas EB2 has the lighter velour and lighter leather..

i'd definatley go as far to say your car is a fairmont...not a ghia...

its still a damn nice car though

It's a Fairmont (interior description/seats), and a damn good example of one! I want your paint :(

Interestingly you've got Ghia bumpers there, the Fairmonts had a grey overrider bit whereas the Ghia bumpers are 100% colour-coded (like your one). Could be due to a respray, could be due to a bumper swap, or your car could've simply been optioned with Ghia bumpers (is that possible?)

Here's what an EB1 Ghia interior looks like (when clean :P):

Dave, I'd say they would have painted the upper bumpers/side mouldings as they would have had to paint the headlight surrounds anyway when they fitted the twinlights.

And SeZZa, the EB Fairmont's interior was basically identical to that of the EAII Ghia, the main differences being the EB Fairmont didn't get power windows (could have been optional) and it the Ghia had a badge on the left front doortrim. Definately Fairmont.

Yes, the car was on carsales.com.au and yes, it is from Coburg.

The car has definitly confused us with being either a fairmont or ghia, however i had more of a belief that it was just a fully optioned fairmont.

Also found out that the diff isnt LSD, however will be hopefully building one soon.

This is a eb series 1 FAIRMONT interior. The Fairmonts didnt come with electrics windows either, as mentioned before.
