My husband Brian has just finished making a prototype gauge pod for the EA - EB Series with the assistance from BrockyB8.
At this stage, Brian had made a gauge pod to fit the BA - BF range which we are selling on ebay http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI....MESE%3AIT&rd=1 We would like to know your thoughts on this as we need to know if it will be worth his while making and selling these twin pods. Aly   |

thats great!!, its a good idea because the ea, eb etc dont have any good places to mount guages, well done folks, in interest how much would they sell for?

you may wish to include the small vents at the top, this is used for cars with climate control...
otherwise, that looks GREAT i'd be pretty keen..... |

i dont currently have a pic. but on the facia, at the top, you'll see a few slits....... on the back of that facia, a tube connects between there and the climate module......
if you made the guage pod with either the slits in it or cut off under them or whatever..... |

I wouldn't want to lose my trip computer either (even though half the functions don't work!). I'd prefer to lose the ashtray and the stupid slot above it.. Another two suggestions that I'd prefer is having one where the coin tray is (aka Thanatos style) or on the A-pillar.

My interior
This a typical fairmont/ghia dash layout, you can see the only place to the left of a trip computer for a guage.

In EA2BA's pic, perhaps manufacturing a plastic blank to suit that vacant spot (with a single x-inch gauge which fits within) would work best? For those of us who wish to retain their trip computer, demist button, etc.
Great idea however guys

Good idea MsAly but I won't want to loose my trip computer (well, when it goes in anyway!). Where EA2BA has his single pod, in that completely useless vacant space thing. Could you fit 2x2" gauges AND move the trip computer a little bit more to the right and fit them in?

Original idea is great, great spot, perfect eye level. Would solve my issue, but alas the trip computer clock is in the way. A-pillar sounds like a great alternative

trip computers are over-rated anyway.......only use mine as a clock these days...., and it beeps at me when my car gets low on fuel..... whoopee
im sure most peoples headunits have a clock built in

Depends on the application, I only need 1 for oil pressure, cant think of what I would use a 2nd for that would be useful.
