Ford Australia New Year Resolutions.
We will advertise all our vehicles, equally. We will have realistic pricing. Not price our cars as premium Euro's. Cap price servicing will match the opposition. We will make the dealers and service departments treat customers with respect. There will be an XR8 $45,990 drive away and a G8E $49,990 drive away. We will bring back the Fairlane in one last hurrah. $59,990 drive away. Then I woke up. Happy New Year !!! Lets see what Ford does in 2014.!!!

About 8 years ago asked a limo driver in melb why there were loads of Statesmans and almost no Fairlane/LTDs in the Limo fleets. He said they had so many warranty issues with the Fords and the resale value was basically zero, whereas the Statesmans never missed a beat and at least had some resale value.
Important factors for the group that was probably buying >60% of long wheel base Aussie built sedans. |

I would settle for Ford bringing out the FH while anyone still cares... I suspect Q4 2014 will be too little too late.

My wish. FH gets released, complete with a ute variant, keen fleet pricing on the four cylinder falcon to give More Aussies a taste of this car, and a falcon GT in the range. I suspect otherwise. And lastly, pretty please, a bloody good add campaign for the FH falcon, Just like the type of adds Holden do. You know, a down to earth add that talks to every days Aussies in normal language, like the "where did the passion for driving go"....adds. I would dearly love to see a montage of all the falcons over the years. I am really going to miss Australian made cars, especially the falcon. |
