Could be any number of drama's! Plug leads are the most likely starting point. What is the service history like, how many k's, what series,etc.
Could be plugs, vaccuum leak, coil pack, fuel filters, The list is long! Need more info. Cheers, Mike

Oxy sensor may be buggered?
Mum's was idling rough and using stacks of fuel. A new oxy sensor sorted it out. Is your car blowing black smoke on idle or WOT?

its done 150000 nd its been serviced every 10 thousand k's and its series 1 1999 modeland its not blowing blck smoke under idle every thing else is good i checked for vaccum leaks theres non and hasnt lost any power
