One I highly recommend is The Pony on little collins st. It is open till 7am each night. A big favourite pub of mine, either that or usually head down brunswick st or fitzroy st.

Charles dickens in Collins St... Brittish pub run by Ivan, a top croation bloke. Usually football(soccer) on the big screen and always a good variety of people in attendance.

"The Hawthorn" in Hawthorn (glenferrie rd), Younger crowd and closes at one but most people make their way down to the Glenferrie. Great perve and I'venever had trouble there. (Mainly Aussie crowd)

Hawthorn is very very poor. Now on Thursday night you make your way to room on glenferrie rd in Hawthorn. The women and music a re sensational. Then on Saturday and Sunday night you can't go past Motel on York St, just off Claredon. I'm not sure if its east Melboure. But go during summer nights. When they open the balcony up stairs it is so mad. Good atmosphere with stuck up hot chicks.

Maybe for you. I'm always bored at room. Dont know about motel but the people that say it's good I wouldn't go out with. Never had a complaint at the Hawthorn, whoever I bring.

Nah thats true and fair enough. Everyone have their places. Personally, I'm really starting to get over the hole clubbing seen. I went oncve with a couple of boys to Caseys on Saturday night and it was all rock. I found it quite disgusting. The Glenferrie I believe is the worst out of all of them. The place is so poor in my eyes.

I really want to find new places. Supposably there are quite a few nice chill out lounges on Brunswick St and around that area of Collingwood. I should go around one night and see what I find.

Is it just me or is it that Collingwood is filled with a lot of wierdos?

I'll agree with you there the Glenferrie isn't anything special.

But try down Brunswick St, has a great mix for everyone.

I highly agree with you on seven. My mate is cousins with mark john, one of the dj's there so its always sweet when we wanna go there last minute. But it has to be a thursday night. Never bother going there if your not on a list because they will always reject you.

Bridey O'Reillys in South Bank, Pug Mahones, can't remember lane, but is off Latrobe Street in CBD, Scottish Chiefs in Geelong.

The Austrian Club has awesome beer, a good feed and entertainment in Heildeberg.

Agreed, Seven Is very quickly beginning to surpass Prince of Wales as the place to be.

I've always been a fan of Room, love the place. Motel is good, I'll second that. However if you like a bit of Salsa and wanna go somewhere different, then Shamiana on lonsdale street is the place to go. Watermark in the docklands is great but difficult to get into. Saratoga off Toorak road is ok, but closes at 3AM. ANother one i'm a fan of is Embassy. Its down a side lane near Melbourne Myer, and its dark and dingy but once inside is great. Music is good, women better. That place is cool.

A little biased here but Maribyrnong RSL is "THE place to be" (True old world without pokies etc, And open til the cows come home)
Anglers Tavern (although now a little "yuppish") is ok.
Others would be...Definately Charles Dickens (as already mentioned)
Now a few a bit further out..
The OBH (Ocean Beach Hotel) in Cottesloe WA.. AWESOME sunday arvo pub!
The Lakes in West lakes SA is pretty full on, especially after a close game on a Sat.
The "Cooly" (Coolangatta pub) in Marine Pde would be my pick of G/Coast pubs! (laid back & great bands)
Out west of Sydney,(Guildford) there's the good old Crown on McCredie (formally the Sheridan).. A top beer! (But wear armour on Fri nights)
A few "out of the way pubs" would be...
The Hill Top at Goonellabah (NNSW) Fantastic Chinese tucker!
The "Fed" (Federal) at Alstonville (Also NNSW) Quaint!
The Woomargama hotel (about 50ks Nth of Albury on the Hume) This place IS A TRAP!.. Home cooking to die for, The locals are magic (as is the beer) and simply THE best rooms at a great price!
In Warwick (Qld) THE place to go is The H&J (Horse & Jockey Hotel) great food, great people & good Accom
Gawd... I could go on forever!... There's The Royal in Moulamein (SNSW), There's the good old BHP (Barwon Heads pub).... There's................

The Edgy is pretty good, very young crowd, get there early on a Wednesday or you won't get in. Lots of nice scenery too, although too many collars up for my liking. Portsea Hotel is probably my favourite pub, and James Squire Brewhouse in the city. There's so many clubs in Melbourne, you could list heaps, just make sure you don't go to Twister unless you're knocked back at all the other good ones!
