Default What shops sell dyna mat?

Was wondering what shops usually sell dyna may and how much ? Was looking at doing my doors tomorrow but don't know if local shops usually stock it,

Anyway know where to get it other then eBay and how much you need for 4 doors ?

If not is anything else just as good ?

bought mine off ebay but most stereo installers would carry it, however be prepared to pay a few bucks more if buying from them.

If you can wait, go through ebay and even gumtree.

have never herd anything positive about they dynamat knock offs either.

If you want better quality try Focal Bam. Dynamat use to be widely used but everyone's giving it the flick, same price for less, as in, way thinner sheets than what they used to be

Where are you based? You can get Stinger Roadkill, which is just like Dynamat but cheaper, from Unique Audio Concepts near Deer Park, Melbourne.

Just get Dynamat extreme bulk pack from ebay and be done with it, cheaper and often free postage depending on seller used to be around $200 delivered a while back, and try and get a free Dyna Roller as well, makes it easier to apply.

Have a done a few cars, and would use it in any project.

Here it is being used in my latest project:

And my first attempt in my GT:

Had to do it in about four pieces from memory, and a few little cuts on my hands/arms, bit of a pain but did not really take long to do, upgraded the speakers while I was in there, made a huge difference to sound.

Hmmmm, stop giving me ideas to spend yet more money, I'm tempted to chuck in some decent 6" speakers now LOL!!!

I've gone down the Carbuilders route for the sound deadener and as per my post in here:

http://fordforums.com.au/showthread....09#post4740209

it is doing a stand up job.

I'd be very interested to know how effective Dynamat is reducing road noise? Is it worth the effort AMD expense? I mean, is it a substantial improvement?

I've done just the boot floor and the parcel shelf and I can notice the difference. The rear end is well, quiet. The doors, bootlid and the quarter panels will make yet more improvements if the boot floor is anything to go by.

Considering the cost of most mods this will only cost you about $200, and takes about a week end or less to do yourself and it keeps working without maintenance for the life of the vehicle, so IMO it represents great value to improve the car.
