Default Christmas present, it's a Holden though.

This is the present I was given by the missus, well kind off, I still have to pay for half.

It's a 1964 Holden EH special, 1990 VN v6, 4 speed auto, LSD, 4 wheel discs, HK Monaro seats and Air cond. Doesn't need much work just a clean up in engine bay, and tidy up the wiring and dash. Paint and panel is about 99 percent.

Future plans include either supercharged & stroked v6 or a small block chevy v8, not for a while though.

Found it on Trading Post online, wasn't exactly looking at buying one just always loved the EH, was more looking for a project shell but this one was too good to pass up. Price was $12,000. Speedo, fuel, and temp work, rest don't but i'l be looking at changing the dash to try to make it look more original.

Nice pick up, I assume it would go pretty well with the V6 in it too

from memory the EH was pretty light , it must go well with the 3.8 in it, very popular in its day the old EH, my step father had one, my mate was in car club, one of the better early models for doing up imo, nice pick up.

I think its about 1150kg or there abouts so the v6 is a good powerplant for it. has a nice quiet exhaust when driving normally, stick the boot in and sounds pretty sweet. As in first post, I will have to look into what needs to be done to go from the V6 to the V8 for support or if the existing mods will be safe for a v8. the way it sits and looks the thing deserves to have a nice mildly worked v8 up the front.

If you want any info on the conversion, I'm 99% Sure I know who did it. If it is Phil's work, he knows this conversion inside out! Looks very nice too mate!

Looks like someone's done a really nice restoration job on your EH. I expect the inner door skins are good, but just to be safe, remove the door cards and check the inside of the door panels to make sure everything's OK. EH's were very prone to rust, mainly because there was no paint on the inner door skins ex factory.

Enjoy the ride!

Yeah goes pretty good, not great off the line but good pick up from 80 to ..... to over take. Best thing still returns about 9ltrs per hundred on the highways.

Great present, you're a lucky man !

In regards to the engine, an M series BMW six would fit the bill for performance and keeping with the factory configuration
