Habibi too stupid to realize that burnouts don't work when you have traction control on. Keeps trying and fries the engine/auto, setting it on fire Police see the footage and charge him with dangerous driving. Insurance probably void. Notice he didn't actually get charged with doing a burnout |

The stupidest thing is, as i child I'd done bigger skids in my undies. And kmart doesn't charge as much as even a second hand car dealer for undies.

Old Mate is sponsoring young Moffat in his TCR Renault Megane 2021 campaign. Wonder how that'll turn out now.

Wow! Looks like he's had it for at least 8 months and hasn't managed to work out how to disable traction control.

Probably one of those charity scams, where the winner is always someone the organiser knows and the donated money never ends up where its supposed to.
But "Trans fluid for $100 please Alex."

Yes it was a LMCTPLUS prize. Those guys are 100% legit. I rang the charity to make sure when I entered. They do a lot of good work for the charity apparently.
They organiser even joked about including a fire extinguisher in the next prize, which happens to be another amg c63 Also the bloke who wrecked the car is blaming a fault in the car, so mercs have to now investigate

“…a fault in the car”
About 40cm from the steering wheel? (AKA Fault-40) |

Disagree with the title of the thread the 'burn out' was perfectly executed.

I realise that the owner is an absolute tool & it was his fault entirely, but you would've thought that the M/Benz could take more than that before it caved in.
It looked to be a bit more than an overheated transmission from the amount of smoke bellowing from the exhaust. Dr Terry |

I'm not sure what impact timing retardation/fuel cut would have on the engine though. I guess these systems just aren't designed around doing it for excessive periods of time. 99.99999% of the time they would work for no more than 1 or 2 seconds. It's so funny, cause one touch of a button and this thing would put on a massive smoke show. How could he have never heard of traction control? |

Dunno if its just me, but whenever i get a new (different) car the moment i get home i geek out and lookup everything it can do, what settings can be changed, all that gear. Then honeymoon with it for a few days. Not burnouts, but pressing buttons and changing stuff because i can. But i guess some people dont do that.

This is what happens when you take Lebos out of Commodores, I bet the mighty Ecotec would rip a sweet single pegger.

I just realised these are a dual clutch 9 speed, so it wasn't the converter slipping, it was the clutch.
Bet the thing spat the clutch and flywheel out the side of the gearbox, through the exhaust and fuel lines.
