Default Thread displayed in Threaded mode

Hi every thread I go to is displayed in threaded mode and when I change it to linear mode it does it but then if i go to the next page it goes back to threaded mode. (hope that made sense) I've gone into options and it says that I have linear mode selected, I even tried selecting threaded mode then returning to linear mode but it's always in threaded mode. Anyone able to help me?

First thing to try in these cases is clear all your cookies and log in again.

Give that a go.
