G'day newby here.
Hope I'm not in wrong spot but I do enjoy any pub. Question about days of old, the 1970 & 71 Bathurst 500s where David McKay drove GTHOs sponsored by Finnie Ford. I'm looking to confirm the regos to help an owner identify his car, if it was one of the Bathurst cars. Research to date suggests 1970 was FF109 & 1971 was FF138 http://www.falcongt.com.au/FPFFCAR.htm Anyone able to shed any light? When originally sold were the FF plates left on the cars? Any ex Finnie Ford guys out there? |

The car in question is a Ph3, has a CAMS log book, was 3rd in the WA round of the 1973 ATCC round behind Moff & Brock.
The question is whether it is the Finnie Ford car from the 1972 Bathurst. Should this be in motorsport area? |

the log book should stay with the car if it was a NSW 1971 issue..pretty sure the race car (JG33LY864**) was still in good original condition after westlands WA sold it to SA..it didn't have plates on it when westlands raced it..

We are talking about the same car, but I'm thinking its still in WA.
Maybe its not the Finnie Ford car given the current logbook has only WA race history. Last raced in the Shell livery of the day. |
