hi any tips on how to change the trans oil/filter on a au auto

take it to a transmission specialist it is not just changing filter and oil for a service they check and adjust bands and check for any fault codes regular servicing ( as opposed to oil changes) will extend the life of your tranny

Absolutely! If you there's anything on your AU that might get neglected-make sure it's not the tranny!

after the filter has been changed its best to flush the trans hey....by just changing the oil its only draining the pan...there will still be heaps of oil in the converter etc....so ideally you need to flush the whole system this can be done by any mechanic or trans/shop that has a trans flush machine....we have one at my work hey i did mine last week and it took 16litres of oil to flush it clean hey (got it all for free good perk of the job).....
