Smile Small Ford Sunday 2006

Small Ford Sunday 2006

Sunday February 5th 2006
Bundoora Park, Plenty Road Bundoora
Victoria
Melway Map 19

Greetings Euroford fans,

2005 was the first SFS event that Eurofordclub members attended as a club. The upcoming event in 2006 will hopefully be bigger and better than this years.
Again we will be reserving space for Eurofordclub members. Question is how many of you are 99% sure you will be there?
We would really like to have a good presence of later model cars - Fiesta, Focus and Mondeo models especially. It is obvious that there are now a lot of Vic based enthusiasts with these cars on the road and in this forum so who is up for it?

Also not to exclude those people from interstate who may want to come down for the weekend. We already have at least 6 cars travelling south from NSW (Escort Cosworths, Sierras etc.) and can arrange contact details with this group for anyone who wishes to join the convoy. We will can also provide details of local accomodation to the event if needed.

There is a flyer available on the RSOCVic website and an updated SFS page highlighting some of this years features. Go to www.rsocvic.com for more details.

Hopefully 2006 will see a big presence from the Eurofordclub.

Cheers,
Glenn Tiedemann
RSOCV

I can organise to get the club banner sent down to Zetec to take and display the cars with also, even if I can't be there unless my RS is back on the road beforehand.

Sounds good!! I'd be happy to pick it up at Christmas or even Australia Day Long Weekend, I'll be driving past both times (first to Noosa, second to Old Bar).

Alrighty then!

So that's three Foci and two Mondeo.

But where's all those Fiesta folk hiding?

And in fact anyone else out there with a Laser, Ka, Festiva, Telstar, Cougar, Probe, Cortina, Escort, Capri, Anglia, Zephyr, Zodiac, Consul, Prefect etc. etc. who is reading this - YOU ARE ALL WELCOME TOO!

A big day of small Fords.

Maybe we should somehow link this thread through to all the sub categories in the Small Cars thread (ie Focus/Mondeo, Fiesta/Ka etc).

I'm not sure all the guys look at the Euroford thread.

So if anyone is clever and knows how to do that.........?????

It would be good to have a strong contingent of nu skool Euro Fords there

I'll be there, even though I no longer have a euro ford to show off, I'm 100% certain I'll be there!

Oh yeah, forgot to mention, not sure if Nikki will be coming along, seeing as she'll be about 26 weeks pregnant by that stage and probably won't want to wander around in the heat all day.

True, but last year, everyone was pretty sunburnt at the end of the day, and it's often been nice and sunny for us, at least in all the years I've been going...

ATM got stock intake pipe to AFM then K&N POD clamped to AFM, using original snorkel and bottom of airbox as CAI (cold air intake) which seems to work well, although i plan on getting a peice of 3" pipe with a mandrel bend remove bottom air box and box off the area with aluminum sheets with a cold air duct coming from the snorkel aswell as below at the front under gear box.

I had a similar setup on an AE82 Twin Cam Corolla, worked a treat, but sold that car :( it was a quicker than the foci but didnt have the STYLE!

Who knows once i complete my new intake i expect another 5-10% rise in performance. Then after i will most likley get a full 2.5" mandrel exhaust including hi flow cat, resonator, and a high flow super silent rear stainless muffler similar to what is on the lexus is250. got over the loud exhaust idea just annoys me, now have as much induction noise as kenworth truck! but its ok as you choose when you want it (throttle easy or throttle crazy!!)

the car is rolling on 18" Lenso MOD 7 rims with 225/35/r18 nankang tyres that arnt too bad for a cheaper tyre i guees because the car is light....
they rims had to be customer drilled to fit the pain in the *** 108 stud!
but all is good.

other than that have tinted windows :
pic before tint.
the tint is Midnight Expess by Tint a Car

I'll bring my RS2000, if still have it then, as it is currently for sale, and I'll try to convince my old girl to bring her rock stock Fiesta. Should be fun though.....

Matt entered his fairly stock Zetec in last year and won Best Focus, so of course it's worth entering!

Above: From the 2005 Small Ford Sunday, Matt wins Best Focus

Above: Stephan (apologies if the spelling is wrong) for Best Mondeo I think?

Unfortunately, my RS200 won't be ready, but next year I plan to be there for sure... either bringing that or the rally car.

I think there is even an expanded range of awards this year as well...

I'll definitely be there. My 11 year old is determined to enter something, and says he'll help wash and polish the car. Like that's going happen!
