Default AU V8 not starting question

Hi,

The instrument cluster is showing this "FAI" and does anyone know what it means and how I can diagnose the message.

The engine does crank over and the smell of fuel comes out the exhaust. The car was running fine earlier and suddenly wont start with this message.

Was that cluster originally from a fairlane? If so that might mean it says "FAIr" When the clusters start up after say disconnecting your battery they will display the spec levelof the cluster. So if it is doing that every time you try to start it, maybe try checking the battery for a bad connection?
