Hi up for sale if my is my 07/75 mk1 2door escort,it was purchased as my first car, 5years ago, It has been rebuilt(in the shed)by my dad and i. it was a 1300xl, i believe it may have been like an spack because it had visible black stripes down the sides and factory cut outs in the grille for fog lights, i may be wrong on this but it is what we believe.
The car still had the factory TANGO orange, we had the colour matched and it was resprayed in the same colour, All rust was removed and metal patches welded in and then straightened with fibreglass filler *absolute minimal BOG was used on the body* It is by no means purfect neither my dad or i had any experience in body work previously, The only rust left un replacedwas the drivers foot well, there is sum small blistering in the paint on the the front of the bonnet where it was debadged, along the the gutter rail and around the inner edge of both rear guards the paint cracked when i had the guards rolled after it was painted *silly mistake that was*, The suspension was replaced by pedders at salisbury new front shocks and springs new shocks in rear as well all at factory hight. the rear leaf springs are original. The steering was rebuilt by a local mechanic im not sure on specifics of what was done there, all my mechanical work has been done by the same mechanic, Clouse at adelaide CV specialists, The brakes were rebuilt as well, machined discs and new pads on the front. my total expence for steering suspension brakes was close to $1400 Ok onto the important part the running gear, When it was purchased it had a 1300 running on almost 4cyclinders haha, tht was binned immediatly, we purchased a rolling wreck mk2 2ltr escort GHIA 4door, we transplanted the engine gear box and diff into my baby, had new brake lines made to suit the larger rear drumms. The previous Owner had recepits for the engine, it was rebuilt by southcott engines so it is slightly over sized im not sure of exactly hom much or what, It has the standard webber carby and 4into2into1 extracors, a lukey exhaust system which crosses over under the car to exit on the passenger side so someone in the know would think its only a 1300 i wanted the car lookin as stock as possible. The interior, there is no carpet in the car, it has a sports wheel after market tacho, standard rear seat with cover, The front seats were replaced with Pulsar GTiR they are fantastic seats and made a huge difference to the driving, it does have a tempremental CD player (only plays CDs when it want to) pioneer front splits and kenwood 6x9 rear speakers, the front door trims are just 3mm mdf painted black. the roof lining is original just with vinal spray in a light grey. I have 14inch globe wheels on at the moment, i also have a set of 13inch hotwire wheels wich will go with the vehicle they have 90percent tread on them, also have the original 12inch pizza cutter wheels haha, If there is anything else you would like to know please dnt hesitate to ask im sure i have forgotten something here. i will post as many of the pics as i can please forgive me if things are wrong here im not to good with the internet, [U]Specs update 2ltr engine gearbox diff(from Mk2 Ghia) fresh paint, steering, suspension, brakes, clutch Pulsar GTiR seats The Car Frequently draws attention no matter where, i have been through numeroous South Autralian Defect Station with no dramas at all, i was once even pulled over by a friendly man in blue just so he could have a look at the car wich i found amusing and also annoying, Im asking $3500 no rush to sell this vehicle at all it is my pride and joy and means alot to me because it was the first major build my dad and i got to do, i would really like to see it go to someone who will respect the car and not destroy it. Also with the car i have the original grille with the factory cutouts for foglights. I really hope i have covered everything so any questions just ask. My email is daniel.robb@hotmail.com i will try and respond as quickly as possible. Lots more photos avaliable |
