hi everyone
hope you lot had a good xmas. have some questions about work. the place of work is up for sale and was wondering if once its sold you can choose not to stay on even if the new people want to keep you or only stay a short time as its still same place and have done it so far nearly 14 years with current owner. or is it the employer that counts even if you worked at same place for so long with current owner. if owner that takes over wants to keep you how do you say no or if you choose to stay for a little while how do you tell them youll stay but it wont be for long or forever. if you stay how do you ask if you can stop doing the hospitality side and do a different department, if current owner still has the shop in 12-18 months how do you talk to her about stopping the hospitality side and onto a different department and having a better quality of life. is it ok telling the new owner if you choose to stay until you start to get too much work that youre establishing your own path and wont be staying longer than needed or can you say thanks for offer but its time to move on, even if you choose not to stay do you still put in your notice or do you just tell them and if you decide to stay but not forever do you just put your notice in explaining that you appreciate the offer and you are establishing your path and that you probably wont be around for too long so they know roughly what to expect. after 13/14 years in hospitality industry am feeling its time to move onto other things with a better work life balance and not 7 days a week and trying to hang on a little bit longer out of loyalty and because of not yet being ready. want to do other things that has a better work life balance while am able to and that is easier and more interesting. am feeling a little tired and feeling like a well deserved break is needed and also want to be able to have annual holidays and cut back on the weekend work and have a better work life balance. it seems at moment that every time you look forward to finally having a break theres someone that cant work so you got to cover for them especially holidays and you are only other person left. it seems so many people left the hospitality industry since coronavirus started causing a shortage where the remaining people are working harder pushing some out door eventually and if it wasnt for the owners then would have been one of the people that caused the shortage. is it ever going to stop or is it time to talk to the boss and how do you talk to them about that and stopping the hospitality side and onto a different department within the business if shes still got the shop in 12-18 months. as am not going to make 20 years wether the shop is there or not was wondering if itll sell before the 20 years is up or if its upto you to do something at some point before then. just planning ahead for the future and using the news that its for sale as a chance to start planning as training and supplies will cost money and itll give a chance to spread out costs. some examples below new owner. 1. thanks for offer its much appreciated but been loyal to previous owner and its time to move onto other things with a better work life balance and am ready to try other things, do you still need to put notice in even if you dont stay. 2. thanks for offer much appreciated, am establishing own path however am happy to stay with you to help you out until paths extablished and then put notice in. 3. thanks for offer its much appreciated but only avaliable for secondhand/other side is there any positions avaliable. would above work, what would you do different thanks |

you've been feeling like it's time to move for several years now.
what have you done to actually make that happen? what new skills have you learned? all I seem to see is you obsessing about having a home office and getting on committees to organise parties. and it's not like people havent been giving you advice along the way, but it seems like it's all fallen on deaf ears. maybe 2023 should be the year you actually stop talking about it and get. it. done. |

If you don’t want to stay long if at all what do you say to new owner and can you give them heads up that you’re establishing your own path and will be leaving once established or starting to get too much work

If you don’t stay once business sold do you still hand in notice to new owner even though you’re not staying or if you stay a little longer and leave when you start getting too much work then hand notice and work period
Is it ok to let the new owner know what’s going on so they know what to expect |

You have no obligations and owe nothing to them. You need to look after you ... and not others.

Also what did you people experience to know it’s time to live on your own and time to move to own place and what did it could you do until you’re in a position to buy and be able to do what you want to place
Feeling like it’s time and trying to do best until things change |

hi everyone
was wondering also how would you find a girl (similar age to you) (wether you already know them or get to know them) to give you a massage at any time also out of normal business hours as a option if youre only avaliable then especially at moment. there is a local one that usually go to every so often with a lady that is similar age and got asked to work and cover for a worker and had to cancel appointment because of not knowing about staying back, so thought itd be best to cancel just incase and work has to go first as many of you know. wanting a girlfriend to do it as well, money isnt a problem but most places only do certain times of day and you may not be avaliable those times atleast at moment and by having a girlfriend or finding a girl youll probably have more luck outside business hours. also how would you be able to do it to a girl and how would you find a girl that might be happy with you doing it. is there a way for the above and a place for a girl to come to you without your own place. what can be done until you have a girlfriend, how do you find a girl, then you could do it out of business hours if you arent available then, the massage place is open a little longer than business hours but not all night. thought you lot might be good to talk to as many of you were and are going through similar |
